Treesje & I have made up May 31, 2011

I had sworn off Treesje for a couple of years due to some issues with a beautiful purple patent mini-Avalon that I bought, babied, and had to send in for repair multiple times. I love the Asher style. The mini Asher in navy was so tempting. When I found it on Amazon already over half-off with an additional weekend sale percentage off coupon...I had to jump on it.
The leather is beautiful. Smooshy and thick. Exactly the way I like it without glazing or other alterations that, while pretty, make the leather more prone to damage.
The stitching is sturdy. The gold hardware is stunning against the navy.
Treesje has changed the interior lining since my last purchase. The new lining is cotton, thick and sturdy. It's no longer soft, delicate and prone to tears. Wonderful change.
The handles are different than the full size Asher I bought a few years back. The braiding is gone and the plain handles draw more attention to the pleating and take some of the weight off the bag.
Like most of the Treesje "mini" versions that I've seen, the "mini" is misleading. This bag has plenty of space and storage.
Note the bottom zipper on the outside of the bag is pretty much for show only. Also, the zippers can run the entire length of the bag and don't stop in the middle.
Love this bag. Am glad to see the lining improvement and the return of thick, unglazed leather.

The bag was received in perfect condition from Amazon. The color was true to the pictures and the navy leather is gorgeous. I like all of my Treesjes but this one, in particular, is stunning :-)

I have the fuchsia Mini Asher with gunmetal hardware, and it is so, so pretty! The leather is thick, soft, and seems slightly glazed, so it isn't a big deal if the bag gets some rain on it. The bag can hold a good amount and comes with a very comfortable, detachable shoulder strap, so it is perfect as an everyday bag. The pleats of thick leather mean that the bag is a bit heavy for its size, so that is a very slight drawback. Overall, it's a great bag and I love its unique styling.
