This bag is excellent. I wanted something big enough to lug all my stuff and still stylish enough that it doesn't look like your everyday backpack. This bag achieves that. I've been able to tote books/laptop, notepads, all my purse items, lunch, pair of shoes, cell phone, itouch and several other items all in one bag. It has several internal pockets to store smaller items as well as outer pockets which I use to store quick get to items like a small umbrella, keys and such. I've heard that people would have liked to have an extra pouch for carrying a water bottle, but one of the outer pockets is big enough to store a water bottle at room temp. Just make sure it's not super cold, because if you do use that pocket to store it, it sweats through and can dampen your internal items. But, despite that small drawback, I think it's still deserving of 5 stars. The straps are also very comfortable and with a little adjustment, it sits comfortably on my back. I've only had this item for about a month and it's still is very sturdy and looks just as I bought it. I think after about 6 more months, I can give it a truer assessment on it's durability.

I wanted a bag specifically for leisure travel. I bought this and another bag because I couldn't decide between the two. The other one was promptly returned. And this bag...it graduated to every day use. I took this on two trips since I got it in March and it's FANTASTIC! One trip was a planes, trains, and automobiles extravaganza. I appreciated being able to switch from tote to backpack as necessary, and I could adjust the tote straps so I could slip the bag securely over my roller luggage handle (although I do not believe the bag is designed for that purpose.) I also didn't need to carry a separate purse, while riding the plane & train. I could fit all those things into the many compartments throughout the bag. And those items were easily accessible.
Since returning I've been using this bag as a work tote. I can carry my laptop, my lunch (not packed in a lunch bag. This bag isn't big enough for that, but you can certainly pack individual items in away so that everything fits comfortably), kindle, and my purse. Again the versatility is much appreciated because if I want to take a stroll to the park for lunch I can also stuff a blanket in the bag and strap it on my back for a comfortable walk.
I gave only 4 instead of 5 stars because there is not an option to give 4.5 stars. The half is because I wish the bag was deeper or wider - just a touch roomier. Also I would appreciate a water bottle pocket outside the bag on the side. If my bag is stuffed or if I have a cold, cold bottle of water I did/could not put the water bottle in my bag. Overall I do highly recommend this bag! And Amazon had the best price for this bag by far.

I'm always on the hunt for the perfect purse. This one is very close. I love the backpack option for everyday use but when I'm at a meeting of other professional event, this can pass off as a shoulder bag. I also use this as a diaper bag on the weekends. I love the versatility.

This bag is great for pretty much anything. I originally bought it to use as a dog bag to lug my 4 dogs jackets, toys, treats and food around in when we go places but now I'm thinking I am going to use it as my crochet bag. I like that I can put my kindle fire in the pocket inside that has a soft lining. All of the pockets will be great to store my crochet hooks, magazines and yarn, along with whatever else I want to stash in there. The fact that I have the option to wear it as a purse or a backpack is awesome as well. All around great bag!
