Tons of space, easy to carry Jan 07, 2010

"sun seeker"
I got this bag to replace an older version I have carried around for nearly 3 years. My biggest complaint with the old similarly-styled bag was that it frequently fell off my shoulder, particularly in the winter when I had on multiple layers. I was overjoyed to find that the adjustable strap on this new bag is much longer than the old one, making it simple to adjust all the way out and wear it across my body, instead of having to wear it on my shoulder (my former bag did not adjust far enough to comfortably wear across me, shoulder only). I chose this particular bag as a replacement because it is made of PET- PolyEthlene Therephthalate- basically, recycled plastic. The internal pockets are the same as the classic Healthy Back Bags, but this version comes with A LOT more external pockets! My former one had 4 external pockets (one if which everything always fell out of anyway), this one has 6, all of which have zippers or Velcro, or are substantially deep enough that nothing is going to fall out unless you literally hold the bag upside down and shake it violently. I'm so glad I got a new Healthy Back Bag- and in case you're completely unfamiliar with these products, this size (which is called "small") holds a TON of stuff. I drink lots of water and am never without my 36-oz nalgene bottle, which fits in this bag, along with lots of pens, a leatherman, my wallet, a packable style reusable grocery bag, clump of car keys and pepper spray, sunglasses, paperback book, planner calendar, mini-flashlight, my other new toys called Buffs (check out [...]), small pair of headphones for when my office mates decide to Skype next to me....and other various articles that wind up in there. Yes, it is heavy enough to use as a weapon (especially with my stainless steel nalgene in there!) but really is designed to carry that much weight and stuff very comfortably, without back strain. I love these bags, they are a great investment- are well made, useful, practical, and just lovely.

Ameribag Healthy back bag Dec 05, 2010

"sparky"
I've purchased AmeriBag's products is the past and I've liked them, but the problem was the shoulder strip, it was always to short to wear cross body. This bag has the longer strip making it wonderful cross-body bag. The bag is made of recycled materials so it's easy to clean and keep clean. The Black and Spruce color is perfect. This Bag has many pockets to hold everyday personal items. I purchased from e-bags and was very happy, I got the item I ordered and I got it in a timely manner.

another great Ameribag purchase Feb 21, 2011

"Love to read"
I've had this bag about 2 weeks now (purchased from Amazon). I got it in a speedy delivery time and used it on a weekend getaway. The bag is attractive, comfortable, roomy. I did some sightseeing and it accomadated my camera, wallet, cosmetics, book guides, tickets. What I really liked was the organization and attractiveness. I also appreciated that it was made from recyclables. I probably have 10 or more Ameribag bags and feel this is a great purchase too. Plan to take it on a long vacation this spring.

Even though its a tote, its rather small Jun 24, 2011
By SusanV Be careful of size when ordering. I have a medium healthy back bag (purse) and thought the small tote looked like the same size but it is considerably smaller. Other than it being too small. I thought the bag looked amazing. I was sad to have to return it. I will try ordering a larger size. I love the healthy back bags and find them much easier on my back, neck, and shoulder.

LIke it Nov 29, 2011
By jenwill Really like it - only problem is that it attracts dog hair which is not easilty removed. Almost too many pockets - forget where you put things.
