 UNISSEX bag for men too! May 03, 2010

This bag is exactly what I need for an overnight or all-the-time carryall. Soft, sturdy leather, outside zip pocket on one side, outside velcro pocket on the other side. Outside cell phone pocket (too small for a water bottle), inside zipper pocket and key ring clip, 4 other inside pockets built into the sides but with no velcro or zipper, a pen pocket and what could be a small water bottle pocket. I like that it is not a backpack, has one adjustable strap and the outside zip pocket has 2 zippers so it can sip up or down and all pockets inside and out have a silver lining. Big enough to pack 1 change of clothes (including shoes) or a large purse replacement for more rugged terrain. They also make a less expensive bag with sturdy, heavy rip-stop nylon/canvas Best of all, it's MADE IN THE USA in Kingstown NY.

I was so worried about the size of this item when I recieved my item I was PLEASED with the size of my bag. Thank you so much. If in the future, this item becomes available in different colors I will make sure I get another one. I am not going to purchase another pocketbook or carrying bag this leather bag is something I ALWAYS wanted to carry on a daily basis. I always wanted a REAL leather bag to carry everyday. Buy for Quality and Design Nov 02, 2010

For seven years now, at home in Australia, I have been using Ameribag's Healthy Back Bag, which I bought in Hawaii. It is my only bag. It holds everything and has so many pockets and attachments of so many different kinds that it is possible to be quite systematic about what goes where.
It is so immensely practical that it has become a necessity for me. When the first leather one started to fail with years of daily use, I bought a micro-fibre one, because that was the only one the shop could offer me on a brief trip to Hawaii. I have been greatly relieved to have been able to buy a new leather one at last from amazon.com.
The leather feels and looks lovely, goes everywhere, and the bag makes me feel EQUIPPED as well as organised. As far as I know it is the best bag there is. The other day I saw a documentary about fakes and sat laughing at a woman who bought a fake Gucci handbag. Why not buy on the basis of quality and design, instead of on the basis of fashion?

We purchased one of the Hellix Healthy bags a few months ago on a retail store. It's a good bag with a lot of pockets and compartments where you can have everything well organized. Sometimes it's a bit uncomfortable when you were it for more than 1 hour and you have some moderate weight in it.
Cons.
Their customer department. Two of the zippers went bad on it and we emailed the company. Then we emailed them back again after we didn't receive any emails from them. I can't recommend buying a bag from them. If something goes bad with it, you are on your own. I'm going to post this same review for everyone of the bags this company make. I would have liked an email even if it was to say that the bag was not under warranty and I was going to have to pay for the repair. I'm not giving them zero stars because that is not an option.
