I bought this bag around 8-9 years ago to use as a diaper bag/purse since it keeps items organized and in place very well. (I had a 1 year old & a 2 year old)
My husband did not oppose using it since it was a solid black (manly enough)
As time went on, the need for diapers diminished and I took it over as a purse.
We relocated to Europe for 3.5 years and this was my main bag for traveling all over and my main purse. It has held up GREAT! I've washed it the washer several times, filled it to almost exploding with all needed items for the kids and from my souvenier shopping. Unfortunately, I've finally worn out the threads securing the zipper - to the point of beyond mending - but the bag part is still perfect.
This is the best bag I have EVER owned and I will be getting a new one!

This is the best bag ever. It has a wide variety of pockets for keeping everything organized and the material is sturdy and water resistant. Excellent quality!
 Great for travelers with iPads Apr 13, 2012

Although my usual preference is for the Medium size, it is too small for carrying an iPad. I purchased the large size in order to accommodate my iPad, camera, and various medications on an overseas trip. Disadvantage: a bag this large can be quite heavy when packed to capacity, and it's easy to lose items in the bottom. (The light colored interior & the key clip are a huge advantage when hunting through the contents.) Although the numerous pockets, both interior and exterior, are great, it's easy to forget where you've placed specific items.
I've had four Healthy Back Bag totes over the years; have used two (both microfiber) until they looked too decrepit for regular use. This model replaces the snap-on rubber shoulder pad with a non-skid surface stitched to the strap. While this design is much better for not catching & pulling on embroidery of a jacket or blouse, and it works equally well, I suspect that the non-skid "fabric" may crack in time and provide built-in obsolescence.

I've always loved this style Ameribag, although the zippers have a tendency to break after awhile. I've owned a good number of them. However, I had to return this one because the inside pockets that I use for my wallet and checkbook were not wide enough as they've been in former bags of this size and style. I could not get my wallet or checkbook in them so the bag was of no use to me.

I purchased this Ameribag because I love the small Ameribag in distressed nylon and I wanted a larger one for when I needed more room for a cardigan and a lunch box on a day out. The bags are so easy to carry wearing them slung across your chest and back.
