This bag was too small for me. I'd used the given measurements to compare it to my old purse, but failed to recognize that the ends where the straps attach are longer (higher) than in the middle where the hobo styling scoops down. If you have a clutch style wallet, there isn't room for much else. I upgraded to the Zena, which as a bit too big, but would rather have extra room than not enough. If you like really small bags though, this might be one for you. Ameribags are well made.

I have used Ameribags for years, have the sling bag in
lots of colors. I was looking for something a little dressier
that still had the features of Ameribag. This is wonderful,
the perfect size with all of the features of other ameribags...
lots of pockets for organizing.

This is a really good buy. It's small but not too small. It fits all the necessities without spilling out. It's nice and casual with plenty of pockets for easy access.

I've been carrying the AmeriBag Catskill Shoulder Bag for three weeks now and it's the perfect size for me. I don't like large bags and I tend to carry a wallet in my pocket if I'm just going out to the grocery store or a short trip. The bag has room for all of my frequent shopper cards, my wallet, a case with lotion, lipgloss, eye drops, and mints, my cell phone, and my keys without feeling full. It's also not bulky or heavy.
I like the shoulder strap because I tend to put my purse down and leave it somewhere if I don't have a way to "wear" it, so I always look for bags with a shoulder or cross-body strap. The strap on this bag is just the right length and comfortable to hold under my arm.
The material also washes easily. I spilled coffee on it a couple of days ago and a quick clean with a Tide pen got rid of it completely. The zippers are heavyweight and durable. Overall I'm very happy with this purchase.

Love this purse. Just received it and was surprised at how much stuff I can put in it. Much more than a cell phone and credit cards. There is space for passport, notepad, ITouch, make up, pen, glasses. It feels really good on the shoulder. The reason I gave a 4 stars is because I would have like to have 2 inches more on the handles. I love wearing my purses really low. Glad I bought it. This is my 3rd product from Ameribag.
